Initially good, bad in the long run – FarVistas –
I have had a Gateway 24″ monitor for 3 years. Initially it worked well – in fact I loved it. After about a year, it began to develop vertical bands of color that would remain on the screen for 15-20 minutes. I called the Gateway help desk to find out where I could download an updated driver. The help desk person told me that since I did not have a service contract, they would not tell me where to go to download an updated driver. No other manufacturer of any other product has ever denied me knowledge of where I could download an updated driver because I did not have a service contract! This convinced me that this would be my last purchase of any Gateway product. Now the USB outlets on the side of the screen have also failed. So the product had real quality issues, but worst was Gateway’s refusal to give the website for downloading an updated driver.

The Gateway DTSS2410 24″ premium DXP Audio is a much intended add-on for the Gateway 24″ inch TFT-LCD screen. The sound quality is good although it is no substitute for a home theater system. From Blu-ray DVDs to Call of Duty: World At War, even World of Warcraft sounds amazing with this speaker system. Though, there might need to be additional tweaking as far as reaching the right kind of sound for your suitable needs (using a equalizer software). I’ve had the Gateway DTSS2410 24″ premium DXP Audio for some time now and I would recommend it to anyone who has the Gateway 24″ inch TFT-LCD screen.
